Quick start
The names of the photo files listed below use the following convention:
Consider the example SL_Ortho-Mosaic_1067_081904_1200-10x.sid (MrSID format photo file):
- SL-------Site name (see below)
- Ortho----Rectification method (Photo was ortho-rectified, as opposed to geo-rectified)
- Mosaic---Consists of two or more individual photos, mosaiced together
- 1067-----WWR project number
- 081904---Date photo was taken (August 19, 2004)
- 1200-----Pixel resolution of photo image file
- 10x------Compression factor using MrSID software (compressed by a factor of 10)
The Site abbreviations are as follows:

- BrI - Brown's Island
- BuI - Bull Island
- CI - Coon Island
- P2A - Pond 2A
- CM - Carl's Marsh (Petaluma River Marsh)
- SL - Sherman Lake
- Secondary
- P3 - Pond 3
Complete metadata is stored in each file's namesake HTML and XML files, but here are the basics:
- All of the selected site mosaics are in MrSID format (compressed from TIFF). MrSID files can be read in most GIS software, though an extension (included in all ESRI GIS products) may be required to view the photos.
- Clipped photos have been included to exclude non-data fiducial/flight information. Clippling occurred subsequent to ortho-rectification and prior to mosaicing.
- All aerial photos were taken on August 19th, 2004.
- 1:9,600 is the (geographic/fractional) scale for individual photos (and mosaics) for all sites. Pixel size for all ortho-rectified images is 0.2 meters (0.67ft).
- All image files conform to the following projection parameters:

Rectification Parameters
Residing in the following files are the input parameter and output accuracy files for the ortho-rectification of each
individual photo, which were originally TIFF files. The files are text files produced by Research Systems ENVI 3.6.
- Those files with "fiducial-xy" in the name indicate internal orientation files, which register the fiducial mark locations
- Those files with "Reg-table" in the name indicate external orientation files, which register geographic coordinate locations
- Each file type, with respect to extension (txt vs. pts), includes separate relevant information from the above two types (e.g., only the pts file includes coordinate system information and only the txt files include RMS values)
- Those files with "Ortho-parameters" represent the concatenation of the internal and external orientation information, and are used in the final ortho-rectification process (unlike the two former file types)
